RC3 is now available for download. Not much changes except fixing setup.php and upgrade.php . A small error in these files meant that SiteX was not really installable at all. Sorry about that.

SiteX 0.8.0 RC2 can be downloaded now
Seems i was the only one testing, as there were fatal bugs in both setup and upgrade and no-one complained... ah well.
Anyway grab the new one here:

I should also mention that a new feature has been added since RC1 which i have named "META title extension". This allows the user to customise the text which appears in the META title tag both generally and on a page by page basis.
Until now the page titles have been drawn from the page name. But search engines such as Google recommend that page titles give essentially key phrases summarising a page's contents as an aid to improve search engine rankings.

The big day is here!
SiteX 0.8.0 beta RC1 is available (nervously) for download from sourceforge.
Please DO NOT use this on a live site as its likely to contain many bugs, and some may be fatal.
Installation/upgrade testing should focus on the following:
- clean install
- upgrade from 0.7.4 clean install
- upgrade from 0.7.4 clean install but with own custom theme added (notes for that can be found here: http://sitex.bjsintay.com/page.php?pageid=29 )
- upgrade from 0.7.4 clean install but with additional user types added, some private albums, private pages, private events added.

This is a quick apology - For an unkown length of time the links to download SiteX have been dead. As you may know all SiteX downloads are stored on Sourceforge.net and they have recently been doing some major restructuring of their site the effect of which was that our direct links to the SiteX downloads (current version and all previous versions) no longer worked, yet strangely no-one seemed to have mentioned it...
